I purchased this tool for odd jobs around the house, I have found it usefull for building walls in our shed, also used it on a 2x4 to level some dirt for pavers. Great bang for the buck!

I bought this tool to assist in setting posts for fencing. But I have found that it is very useful for almost any leveling step on framing projects.

It holds well on any 2-by, both vertically and horizontally. I attach it to a 10 foot 2X4 for longer needs. Word of caution, make sure your piece of lumber is perfectly straight or your results will be off.

For the money invested, this is a great tool.

This product is a good starting point when framing. However, I would recommend double checking with a 12' level. I found it was off at times. It is useful in certain situations. I would recommend.
