Although it takes a little getting used to, once the action is mastered this saw is very easy to use. Apply no force to the push stroke, and just keep the saw in contact with the item to be cut during the pull stroke. The sharpness of the saw does the rest. I used it to cut three heavy polymer shutters to length. Each cut was about 36" in length and 1.25" in depth. It was a joy to use.

I bought this saw while installing a new central vac system in my house. The 2 inch PVC (thin wall) pipe cut with little effort and very few burs had to be sanded off. It is quite tough to get a perfect straight cut as with any hand saw. Much cheaper than buying a miter saw. I would recommend for small DIY jobs.
