Dryer Vent Cleaner LintEater Jun 05, 2009
By Waldo My dryer was taking too long to dry clothes. With a vent chute that is almost 25 ft long, I knew lint was causing the problem. After a brief google search, I decided to try the lintEater. I am pleasantly surprised at how effective this gadget is and how easy it is to use. The lint that was blocking the pipe must have weighed a couple of pounds at least.
I had to order the extra rods to reach the full 25 ft length of the vent. I also ordered the lint bag but that was an overkill because I neither needed it nor used it. The only complaint I have is that all three items (LintEater, extra rods, lint bag) came from different vendors; and I ended up paying as much in shipping cost as the product price.
The instructions were easy to follow; and it comes with a DVD. This is truly an ingenious and creative product. Highly recommended.

Good Product Which is Easy To Use Jan 14, 2011
By M. Anderson We had problems with our dryer overheating and a buildup of lint inside the dryer and on the door. After calling the appliance store it was suggested that I clean the dryer vent. I called several vent cleaning services and was quoted from $90 to $280. The highest bid was calculated based on our dryer vent running approximately 20ft and it makes some turns before it reaches the outside wall. I bought this product based on low price and my ability to use it multiple times for maintenance of our dryer vent. Because of the long length of the run in our vent system I purchased the basic kit and the 12 foot extension kit. I also bought the lint catch bag to avoid getting lint in our landscape plants. The price of all of these items was approximately the cost of lowest service bid price. I followed the instructions provided and the process went smoothly. It took approximately 30 minutes to complete the cleaning and I was amazed at how much lint ended up in the collection bag with me just using the air flow from the dryer while I turned the brush with my portable drill. After the cleaning the dryer problems were eliminated and I can use the device again without additional costs.

Did the job! Apr 28, 2009
By Richard Goddard I had a completely plugged laundry chute, but this took care of it quickly. I tried using a standard snake for better than an hour before purchasing this system and an extension kit to clear our extra long exhaust. The snake wasn't able to clear an obvious plug about 15' from the access point. Because of the bristle end and the ability of using a cordless drill with this system, it was gone in ten minutes. Now I plan to use it once every six months to keep the line clear. The other parts are useful, but I didn't need them this time.

Tool every home should have Mar 09, 2011

Had never cleaned out my vent in 17 years. This brush easily pulled out years of buildup. Used it as well on my friend's house and loaned it to another. This tool is absolutely amazing and as easy to use as a drill. I appreciate when I buy a tool and it does what it's supposed to do... this one works!

Good but a few drawbacks Jun 30, 2009
By lovemyson! I liked this product, especially if you are using it for just one dryer vent. And since there is nothing else like it that I know of, even with a few drawbacks, I would highly recommend it.
But I will let you know what has gone wrong. I have used it on five dryer vents so far and the rods are starting to bend very easily and twist intead of spinning. You also have to make sure your drill is spinning to the right and not the left. If the drill switch gets moved accidentally (like what happened to us), the rods will unscrew in the vent and you will lose your parts!
So other than having the brush stuck in a dryer vent, the product has worked great and is recommended.
