Freud 42-116 Bearing Flush Trim Bit

Freud's precision ground carbide bits have a grain size smaller than other grades, and titanium is added making them impervious to chemical attack. Promoting safer woodworking is the reason Freud made a commitment to develop anti-kickback router bits. Bits are computer balanced to insure vibration-free operation at speeds that are a safe margin above the typical 22,000 RPMs of most routers. Freud's philosophy is woodworkers should expect safety, not pay for it. Overall diameter 1/2-inch, carbide height 2-inch, shank diameter 1/2-inch.

  • 1/2-inch diameter, 2-inch height, 1/2-inch shank

  • Ground carbide with titanium for long life

  • Anti-kickback

  • Computer balanced for vibration free operation speeds over 22,000 RPM

  • ITEM SHIPS UPS

ok i bought a cheaper but not much cheaper bit same size as this and i did not get far into my project at all before the bearing exploded and runied my work.
i bought this one and finished that project and another with no signs of dulling and this is in oak.
PLEASE DONT BUY THE CHEAPER BITS MADE IN CHINA
Freud is great and will last

its an ok bit. i've been using it with my milwaukee 1.75 HP router with PT Fir 2"x6" and on the bit it has already chipped a little. i was expecting the bit to last longer than that. oh and the bearing fell off while i was routing. i used a hex wrench to place it back on. maybe i got a dud product. others have had better luck than me.

5Very satisfied  Mar 21, 2008

I don't have a jointer, so I got this for use with my router in combination with an All in One clamp to make the edge of some boards I'd laminated flush and straight. Works like a charm. I guess the thing that differentiates router bits is longevity, I've yet to have a problem with a Freud bit. Quality stuff.
