Fantastic Idea. Works great! Mar 10, 2008

"Smell the Roses"
I couldn't keep mine. My neighbor, a master mason snatched it away from me and was using it on the job the next day. I have sold probably five of these in the last week to people I do business with. I's affordable, portable and adaptable to almost any situation for people who need planning and assembly space but like us life in a small apartment. It folds up like an artist's portfolio and fits in the smallest closet when not in use and you can hang it from almost anything (nails, pegboard hooks, twine, rope, coat hanger wire, etc). My only suggestion is to purchase or make a waterproof bag to transport it from site to site. Otherwise the plywood 2'x4' inserts will delaminate. Also cut 1/2" off the side and end of the plywood before inserting in the pocket. It will slide in a lot easier and your fit will still be good and snug. Don't use more than 1/2" plywood or you can't get it in the pocket and fold the velcro tabs over tight. It's especially good for people like me with back problems, who need to stand up while working. I should get a commission on all the sales I've captured. I even got our local Home Depot manager to buy one, although they don't stock it yet (they will soon, I'll bet).

Just What We Needed For The Job Site! Keeps Everything Organized! Jun 14, 2009

This is a great idea! It works great. Just like the other reviewer stated, you should cut the 1/2 plywood 47-1/2 x 23-1/2 to make it easier to fit in the velcro pockets. The canvas material is very strong but can be torn by the sharps edges of your plywood if pushed in forcefully. There are plenty of pockets and places to store items. The size is perfect for reviewing plans and writing on. The canvas is easy to wipe clean and it all folds up for easy transport. A velcro strip along the edges securely closes it. The built-in handle makes it easy to carry. The only down side that I can say is that over time the 1/2 plywood base tends to sag in the middle. You can pull it out an reverse it as needed until the plywood becomes too flexible and will need to be replaced. If you store it in the closed position at the end of the day it will not sag as soon. You can also cut a support leg 2x4 or pole to place under it for added support. Overall I am very pleased with this product. It makes for a more professional looking job site. Your clients, inspectors, and subs will most likely be impressed by it too!

By A. Backer Well made and looks good. Bought for someone as a present and it doesn't get used much, but when it does it is a lifesaver.
That is the only thing to keep in mind... if you *know* you will use it then great. Otherwise it is one of those things that can easily just gather dust, since you really need exposed framing to hang it from.
Versatile! Jun 13, 2007
By Tom Ciulla We love this product! We actually have two Plan Stations set up in our home office (his and hers!). They help us stay organized! We did find that using 5/8 inch plywood for the desk surface adds rigidity and strength. You can even use 3/4 inch plywood by simply cutting the wood slightly smaller to fit and slightly rounding the corners. We even have a Plan Station set up on our back deck where it serves as "outdoor station", holding a variety of gardening tools and chemicals for our hot tub. So be ready to buy more than one after you experience the ease of set up and the convenience of getting organized!
